New Year's Eve in Tunica

Thanks to our great friend, Nina, me, Anna, Mike and Morton got to have a fun night in Tunica at the Horseshoe with some yummy food at the Magnolia. These are some pictures that were taken when our VIP selves went to the private party at the casino. Morton was my "date" because Clint was working. I realized again, that night, how old I am and that I just can't keep up anymore! I was doing good to make it until 12 and as soon as we rung in the new year, my butt was off to the room. I didn't gamble because there were too many people there, and I can't stand crowds too much. So, here's a pic of our group, and one of me and my date, Morton...ha! For those of you who don't know, Morton is BFF with Vincent, and is a lawyer in Jackson, MS. Most importantly, he is my boss' nephew and lots of fun! (Ignore how fat I look....I am on a mission to drop some poundage!) And I apologize for how small these pictures are, but I'm computer illiterate. I don't know why they are like that.

Puddon and Aunt Hazel

I found this picture a while back when I was at home, and it's of Puddon and Aunt Hazel, I'm thinking it was in 1990 at Puddon and Major's 50th anniversary celebration (They have been married 68 years now). Don't they look so much alike?

Just a few pictures of our little children

At the request of Caroline

Caroline told me yesterday that I'm a terrible blogger. So, I'm going to overload you with posts today.

P.S. Susan is at home and much better! So is Puddon!

Just a few pictures of us girls!

Susan

I've got another prayer request. I got to the office today after court and Melissa and Sherry told me that another attorney in my office, who is also a good friend of mine, Susan Korsnes, had a stroke yesterday and is in ICU in Memphis. I don't know much but that, so please keep her in your prayers. She's had a tough time lately, and stays stressed, but hopefully she will fully recover and be back to work soon. Her job here is probably the most stressful though, so we'll see. We sure do miss her and I am probably going to the hospital today or tomorrow and I'll report back on her progress.

Great Progress so far!

Once again, I apologize for not updating this blog regularly. I have big plans for this year. This is the year that I am going to lose weight (Clint and I both), quit smoking, have a kid, update this blog more regularly, bring my lunch to work and quit eating out so much, cut back on the DP, and the list goes on. Like I said, I have big plans.

As for Puddon, she is doing great. I spent a week and a half there for her surgery, taking care of Major, and going back and forth to Shreveport. The surgery was last Tuesday at Schumpert and she stayed in ICU until Saturday, when she was moved to a room. I talked to Daddy last night and he said she was moved to Glenwood long-term after care for rehab. She will hopefully only have to stay there 2-3 weeks. The doctor said the surgery went as expected, and he can't say that he got all the cancer because he is not 100% sure. Apparently they never are. I guess if a surgeon said that it would be like me saying to a client: "I know that I can get you off on this charge." Yeah, can't do that.

I want to thank everyone for their prayers and concerns about Puddon. You all know how close I am to her and it means a lot to know that everyone is so concerned. This battle is not over yet so please keep praying!
